TOWN OF MEXICO

The Town Board for the Town of Mexico will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 5:30pm, or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Mexico Town Hall located at 64 S Jefferson Street in the village of Mexico for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Town of Mexico community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA) and Intermunicipal Water Infrastructure (IMG) Grant applications for the 2025 program year.

The WIIA and IMG Grant program is administered by New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation and will make available to eligible local governments up to $325 million through the 2025 WIIA and IMG Program.

The Town of Mexico is applying for up to $5,000,000 in WIIA and IMG funds for Water District #6. The hearing will provide further information about the program, including progress towards beneficiary goals and program objectives, and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the grant program or proposed project will be received at this time.

The Town Hall meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities.
