Senior Citizen Tax Exemption
Property owners 65 years of age or older with a gross household income of below $37,400 may be elegible for county and town tax exemption on their primary residence. Senior citizens have until March 1st to apply for exemption with their local assessor. If you already receive this exemption, you must renew each year by March 1st. For more information please email or call the office of the assessor. Please read the application instructions before applying. You can find the application instructions HERE and the application HERE. Once your application is complete, you can submit it to our assessor's office at 64 S. Jefferson Street. Applications are due on or before March 1st.
